Privacy Policy
Subsc Tracker helps you keep track of the subscriptions you pay for. This policy explains what the app collects, why it uses that information, who processes it, and how to delete your account data.
What we collect
We collect the information needed to provide the app:
- Subscription entries you create: service name, amount, currency, billing date, billing cycle, category, status, trial end date, payment method, notes, and reminder timing
- Your settings: base currency, reminder timing, and whether you have bought Pro
- An anonymous user ID, created automatically the first time you open the app. It is not tied to your name or email
- If — and only if — you choose to sign in: the account identifier, email address, and profile information (such as your name or profile image) that Google or Apple makes available through the sign-in process
- If you buy or restore Pro: your App Store purchase and entitlement status, together with the app's user ID used to associate that status with your account
How we use your information
- To save, display, sync, and secure your subscription entries and settings
- To authenticate you when you choose to sign in
- To verify a Pro purchase, unlock Pro, restore it, and reflect refunds
- To operate, protect, troubleshoot, and support the app
What we do not do
- No bank or credit card connections. The app never reads your transactions, and there is no automatic detection of subscriptions
- No advertising, sale of personal data, or tracking across other companies' apps or websites. We disclose information only to the service providers described below, as needed to operate the app
- No tracking or analytics SDKs. The app does not build a profile of you and never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt
- No remote push notifications. Reminders are scheduled on your device by iOS, so what you are subscribed to is never sent anywhere to generate a notification
Service providers
We use the following providers only to operate the features described in this policy:
- Supabase — account authentication, database, and server functions
- Google and Apple — optional sign-in chosen by you
- Apple — App Store payment processing and purchase records
- RevenueCat — purchase verification, entitlement management, restoration, and purchase analytics. It receives the app's user ID and purchase history, but not your card number
We require providers that process personal data for the app to provide the same or equivalent protection described in this policy and required by applicable law. We do not permit them to use it for advertising or cross-company tracking on our behalf.
Where your data is stored and how it is protected
Your entries are stored with Supabase, which provides the database and the authentication for the app. An anonymous account is created the first time you open the app, and your data belongs to that account. Access is restricted so that an account can only ever read and write its own rows. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
Signing in is optional
Every feature works without signing in. Signing in with Google or Apple exists so your data survives a lost, replaced, or reinstalled device, and so you can use the same data on more than one device. If you never sign in, your data can only be reached from that one device.
Purchases
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple, and we use RevenueCat to keep track of whether a purchase is active. Your payment details never reach the app — we never see your card number, and we cannot charge you. RevenueCat receives the purchase status and the app's user ID.
Exchange rates
To show totals in your base currency, the app uses reference rates published by the European Central Bank. Those rates are fetched once a day by our server, independently of anyone using the app. No data about you leaves the app for this.
Retention and deletion
- Individual subscriptions can be deleted in the app at any time
- To delete your account data, use Settings → Account. If you have signed in, the option reads "Delete account"; if you have not, it reads "Delete all data". Either way it permanently deletes your Subsc Tracker account and its subscription entries and settings from Supabase, and it cannot be undone
- Free anonymous accounts — those that have never been signed in or bought Pro — may be deleted automatically after 90 days without use. Other account data is kept until you delete the account
Apple and RevenueCat may retain purchase and entitlement records under their own legal and operational requirements. The purchase itself remains associated with your Apple ID. You can restore it using the same Apple ID after starting again with a new account.
Signing in and notifications are optional. You can withdraw from sign-in and cloud sync by deleting your account data, and you can change notification permission in iOS Settings. Contact us at the address below if you have a privacy or deletion question.
Children
Subsc Tracker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
